Soap Bubbles
We used to think we knew politics
We used to know no pain
We used to think we were appreciative
Still we would complain
About the little things
Just insignificance
A world of innocence
A world undone
We used to feel immortal, afloat
We couldn’t quench our thirst
We used to live in bubbles of soap
but all bubbles burst, so what do we care
About the little things
Just insignificance
the world of innocence’s
not here anymore
’Cause that was all before
Now we just know some more ’bout living
Maybe it’s in our genes
Our human nature schemes
We live the lives we’re given
We used to play our aces for fun
We thought we knew this game
We never thought we would be forced to run
But they’re all the same, sod
Forget the little things
The insignificance
The world of innocence’s
Not here anymore
’Cause that was all before
Now we just know some more ’bout living
Maybe it’s in our genes
Our human nature schemes
We live the lives we’re given
And as we’re drying off
We build our bubbles up again
Now we have passed before/we’re wiser than before
We’re ready for some more
